Aziza Zahran is an experienced youth specialist who has worked in the individual and family services industry. Between 2015 and 2017, she was an office manager at Syracuse Recovery Services. In this role, Aziza Zahran facilitated individual group sessions targeted at preventing relapse and organized counselor schedules and client appointments.
Since 2020, Aziza Zahran has worked as a care manager at Catholic Charities of Onondaga County. She administers CANS-NY assessments and other annual comprehensive assessments and handles a caseload of 20-25 high-acuity clients. She ensures that youths have access to comprehensive assessments and reassessments, including access to social services, rehabilitation, education, long-term care, and medicine.
Also, between 2013 and 2022, Aziza Zahran volunteered as a children's support professional at the Access CNY Harmony in the Home Program. She supported the needs of children between the ages of seven and 18 who had been diagnosed on the autism spectrum. She also worked with parents and the agency, developing goals that were geared toward helping children live a healthy lifestyle.
